Hawksbill (Shenandoah Highpoint)
Take this hike to reach a viewing platform on top of the highest peak in the park. The panoramic view is popular for both sunrise and sunsets. The view of the Shenandoah Valley, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the Virginia Piedmont is spectacular. There are two tourist trails to the summit and one trail that branches off the Appalachian Trail. Note that if you are hiking the AT, there is a good camping spot just before the summit, right before the no camping signs near the summit.
