Located between Anacortes, La Conner and Whidbey Island, Skagit Bay is a scenic area full of islands, distant mountains and views of the iconic Deception Pass Bridge. Probably the easiest way to access this area is Cornet Bay boat launch, operated by Deception Pass State Park. A visit to the bay could entail all kinds of routes but visiting the two state park islands should be at the top of the itinerary. Other stops could include the Kukutali Preserve State Park Heritage Site and the county park on Ben Ure Spit (Ala Spit County Park).
