Hope Island State Park (the one in Skagit County, not the Mason County one) is an easy 3.5 mile scenic paddle from Cornet Bay. There are roughly 6 primitive campsites on Hope Island on the north shore bay. Because Hope Island is located between La Conner and Whidbey Island in Skagit Bay, the island gets many visitors. Most of the island is a nature preserve, with a trail that crosses the island. There are two buoys. The beach is nice but the island has lots of mosquitos in summer.
