Mission Mountain Lookout Site
Still standing on the summit of Mission Mountain is the tree that had a fire lookout crows nest established in the 1920s. As of 2024, there were still a few boards and some wire dangling down from the tree. Old nails are present where the ladder once climbed the tree. The route up the tree is the only side of the tree void of branches, a narrow passage way up. There may have also been a tower built at the summit in the 1930s.
