The Roman Nose Lakes are some of the easiest alpine lakes to get to in the Northwest. One is right at the parking area so expect to see all kinds of people here recreating. You will also find lots of people picking huckleberries in August and September. The other two lakes require hiking but the trails are really nice and not too far. This is a perfect area for families. Campsites are available at the lakes but expect lots of foot traffic through your campsite. All the lakes have the towering Roman Nose Peak above, an off-trail scramble to a former lookout site if you get adventurous. There is also a car campground near the trailhead.
Hiking Distance: 3 to 4 miles
