Frosty Mountain Lookout Site
For whatever reason, finding information about this first lookout site on the Appalachian Approach Trail is hard to find. Frosty Mountain appears to be a sub mountain name located on Amicalola Mountain.
In 1966, a USGS party visited the summit and found a fire tower. They placed a station benchmark with the label FROSTY MTN FT.
In 1975, the USGS returned finding their station benchmark destroyed and they made no mention of the lookout.
