Mount Liberty, New Hampshire
WillhiteWeb.com
Mount Liberty is one of six mountains the Franconia Range of the White Mountains. The mountain is a short side trail off the Appalachian Trail. The summit is unusually rocky and breaks above tree line offering good views. I simply dropped my pack a short distance up the side trail and within 15 minutes was standing on this excellent summit. Dayhikers would want to combine this summit with Mount Flume doing a loop hike. These are the two shortest mountains of the six Franconia Range peaks. The Appalachian Trail is the Liberty Springs Trail climbing Mount Liberty.
