South Twin Mountain, Mount Guyot Zealand Mountain, Crawford Notch

Having dinner at Galehead Hut, I contemplated where I would end up for the night. A few hut hikers had just come in from northbound and we discussed some camping options up on South Twin Mountain and Zealand Mountain. In the end, as usual, I was just going to wing it and see where I was at when it started to get dark. The climb out of Galehead Hut is a steep bugger up to South Twin Mountain. I was surprised to find such a great view at the summit and I had a strong desire to camp on top. But, there was still some daylight and I just could not give that away. Continuing to Mt. Guyot I found more views near that summit but nowhere to camp, so I continued on to Mount Zealand. There I found some camping spots in the trees at a saddle just before the summit. The next morning I took the short side trail spur to the summit off the Appalachian Trail to the summit of Mount Zealand were there were some really nice camping spots on the summit. From Zealand, it was a gradual drop down to a short spur to check out Zeacliff. Then it was a steeper drop down to Zealand Falls Hut. I arrived shortly after breakfast and I went inside to purchase some snickers bars. They offered me some free leftover breakfast. It is customary for AT thru-hikers to eat any leftover breakfast that the paid clients of the hut do not finish. Although it was a bit cold and not that tasty, it was still a real treat to eat something freshly cooked. After the hut, there were many miles of easy terrain following a river valley and river down to Crawford Notch. Upon arrival at the Notch around lunch time, there was a trail angel making biscuits and gravy. He also gave out tons of food, where I got like a full days re-supply.
