Status: Former Lookout
Elevation: 4,080 feet
Prominence: 360 feet
State: Tennessee
County: Carter
AT Access: Short hike off AT
The Appalachian Trail skirts just below the summit of White Rock Mountain as to avoid the road and small structure at the summit. At one time, the trail went up and over the summit. Do not confuse this with the Mt. Cammerer Lookout in Smokey Mountain National Park which had the name of White Rock Lookout.

Access from trail:
While hiking northbound on the AT, just a bit before the summit you can just glimpse the roadway traveling above the trail. Get over onto the road with a short bushwhack climb. Follow the steep road up to the top. To avoid backtracking, you can drop off the north side of the mountain to regain the AT. The bush seemed light and the old AT track was partly visible in one place while descending.
