O'Took Prairie Observation Post
WillhiteWeb.com
Located on Quinault Tribe land. This observation post sometimes has the prairie name attached. I think the location started near O'Took Prairie but got moved several miles away.
Location: S1/2 of Section 33, Township 23 North, Range 11 West
This document calls it O'Took Prairie and places the location in Section 1, T22N R12W. This is different than the main observation post list showing the location in Section 33, T23N, R11W. See topo map below for both locations marked on a map.
From the main observation post list
July 30, 1942
Unclear what this was about
I think from a book called Frontier Legacy
Main AWS map
I believe this was in the Seattle National Archives labeled as O'Took
STR given was in the South 1/2 of Section 23
If I had to guess, the original location desired was in Section 1 near the O'Took Prairie, but then a better site used was over in section 33.
