Elephant Knoll
These are 4 easy peaks to hike up in the winter. You'll probably have to leave Utah just to get to them by taking paved roads from Wendover but because of I-80 freeway speeds, they aren't too long to get to from Salt Lake City.

This is to nice of a little peak not to have a name. We wanted to climb Utah Peak but access roads were still deep in snow so this inspired the name "Utah Rock" for this rocky protrusion out of the flats. We approached from the paved Ibapah road on the west. Easiest route was to traverse the south side of some bumps leading to the peak, then climb up to a notch on the south ridge. Once on the ridge, it's still class 2 as you weave your way between rocks to the top.

Elephant Knoll is the easiest of these 4 and the most interesting as it has a big rock arch. The area around the arch is also interesting with a big hole just beneath the summit and some sort of small animal den. Views from here in the late afternoon light gave it a "different planet" kind of experience.
Rocky Point has some vertical cliffs on the north side as the highway wraps around it but the easy snow free south slopes appeal to the average peakbagger. There are a few rock outcrops to avoid on the way up but it's an easy peak with good views.
Ferber Hills is the highest of these 4 peaks. The route starts out crossing the flats but then ascends an easy but scenic ridgeline west then north up to the summit. The hike has the most distance but it's only a mile and goes fast. No issues.
