South Twin Lookout Camp

IThe Kresek Lookout Inventory shows this as a 1930s camp, abandoned in the 1940s. This would have been an impressive place for a camp as it is not easy to reach, a mountaineer’s scramble. South Twin would be one of the top 5 lookouts in difficulty in Washington State.

South Twin is the highest point along the jagged ridge known as the Twin Sisters Range. The prominence is considerable at 3,520 feet.
