Moclips Lookout Site

The Kresek Lookout Inventory says Moclips Lookout was a 1929 steel tower with a cabin at the base. He gives a location in Section 31, T21N, R11W (No elevation given)

Located inside section 31 was the East Moclips Ranger Station. This seems like a likely location for the lookout. Also, previous lookout enthusiasts with the Olympians Club had searched here. Based on their notes, they parked on the road and bushwhacked to the knoll. Their leader had been a Weyerhaeuser cruiser and he said the Ranger Station and lookout had been there. During their visit, it had recent logging on the knoll and no artifacts were found. This information was gained in 2008, unknown when the site visit was. If you go, be looking north of the highway.
