On September 6, 1934 panoramic images were taken from the 5,000-foot level on the ridge to the lookout site. At that time, it is not clear why the photo team did not go to the 6,780 foot point where the cab was placed 3 years later. Chances are the site was just proposed at the time and no camp existed, or maybe just a patrol point on the ridge existed.
In 1937 an L-4 cab was built but was blown over cliff in 1938.
In 1939 an L-4 cab was built. Destroyed 1950.
It is not clear which structure was being built in the images below.
