Goat Butte Lookout Site

This high lookout was built in the 1930s. The cab was built on the highest point. A few ruins are said to be remaining. In 1946 a USGS party reported that it took 6 hours to reach by horse, the last water was 3 miles before the site and the last wood was 1 mile before. They also said the lookout house was abandoned in 1940.
