Panama Canal, Panama
The best way to experience the Panama Canal is to travel through the full length of it. Luckily, many cruise ships make the passage as they transfer their boats around the world for the different seasons. What is nice about a cruise ship is the size. You can get down on low decks for up close and personal viewing or get on high decks for overview views. It is also easy to go to either side of the ship depending on what is most interesting to you. It takes nearly a full day to make the entire passage through the canal and locks.
