Big Bottom Butte
This mountain divides the Cowlitz Valley with the highway on the north side and the river on the south side of the butte. There is not much quality with this mountain but it is a prominent peak in the area. The drive is forested and has had access for over a decade without any signs or gates prohibiting access. But, the area is subject to logging operations so that can be a factor. High clearance vehicles are best for the drive. If you walked, it would be 2.6 miles with 1,600 feet of gain from Anderson Road. Note that the turnoff is not the same as USGS maps, it is a bit further as shown on my map. The summit has a bit of communication equipment but no views in 2022.
