Elevation 4,748 feet
County: Deschutes
This butte does not rise very high but it is quite isolated from other hills giving it a good viewpoint for when the lookout tower stood. Without the 60-foot tower, views are only one direction, north.

The access was easy out of La Pine, taking the Finley Butte Road. After around 3 miles, turn south toward the quarry (signed). Just before the quarry itself, veer right up the hill and climb to the top. An old gate was near the top but it looked to be damaged and open for several years. No negative signs in 2022.
