Post Falls, Idaho
The top park in Post Falls is probably Qemiln Park due to the water access and beach. In summer, it is a great place to cool off and relax under the shade of pine trees. A life guard is often on duty too. The park itself is not that large but the beach is big enough to allow a lot of visitors. Adjacent to the park is the Post Falls Community Forest with all its hiking and rock climbing so if you include that portion, the park is really large.

Amenities include BBQ pits, picnic shelters, horseshoe pits, volleyball courts, playground, restrooms and a concession stand. There are a few covered shelters and a covered Grand Pavilion. A boat launch is also on site allowing you to put in right next to the dam if you wanted to boat up the Spokane River to Lake Coeur d Alene. An interpretive trail and new overlook onto the nearby South Channel Dam is at the far west end of the park.

There is a parking fee for cars at certain times during the year but you can avoid the fee if you can find one of 20 spots out side the gate or you can park on the other side of the Spokane River in the city parking lot, then walk across the Spokane Bridge to the park.
