Corral Pass Road
The Corral Pass Road will take you to 5,650 feet, where views immediately start. At the pass, there is a campground and several trails branching off in different directions. Unfortunately, the Norse Peak Fire of 2017 burned down nearly the entire forest in this area. On the bright side, as the dead trees fall, the views should improve. The road was impacted for many years and even now has sections of dirt instead of rock. For this reason, if the roadway is wet, the steep road could get slick. High clearance is already recommended and 4WD would be best if the road is wet. With that said, you occasionally see a passenger car that has pushed its way to the pass. Conditions vary throughout the season, so sometimes it is possible.

Take Highway 410 for 30.5 miles from Enumclaw to find the turnoff. The road is signed from highway 410 as FR7174. The road first passes through a cabin community for a mile before reaching National Forest. A seasonal gate is passed, and then the road climbs steeply 6 miles to the pass. The gate closes by November and reopens usually in July. The north trailhead has no restroom so in theory; they should not require a Northwest Forest Pass there.

Activities at the summit are mostly hiking and camping. For many years, mountain biking was popular but signs now indicate this is no longer wanted. In winter, people ski up and snowmobiles use the road as well. The campground is pretty rustic, you will need to bring your own water and there are no garbage cans. There are two trailhead parking areas with plenty of space.
