Spalding Bay Lookout in Grand Teton National Park

In 1940, the Forest Service built a 79-foot steel lookout tower on the knoll west of Spaulding Bay, along with a small quarters at its base.

In 1942, the lookout person was Fred Brown. His family would visit on Sundays.
