Goal: Build a shelter and sleeping platform in the time period given.
Display or handout of shelter types.
Hand saws for cutting sticks to length.
Rope or twine
Tarp if you are making a tarp shelter.
Knife or scissors: something to cut the rope or twine
Items Needed
Headlamps if it is going to get dark by the end
Emergency Survival Blankets for fun and to educate their use
Optional Items
Discuss shelter types and what shelter might be best for where you are at.
Discuss rules.

No cutting live trees.
Rules
Let them go at it. You could have the entire group work together or break into groups.
