Kubb is pronounced KOOB. This is a Swedish lawn game that is played around the world. Possibly as old as Viking times, the game involves strategy and skill. To win, toss the dowels underhand and topple your opponents kubb blocks. Then topple the king. There are some good videos on YouTube to learn the details.
