Ray was a good brother, husband, father and excellent provider for his family and was a good example to all that knew and loved him. Ray was a Field Engineer for Martin K. Eby Construction for 16 years and also a Fire and Security Consultant for Omni Fire & Security for the past 16 years. He enjoyed good health his entire life until the past 4 months. Ray enjoyed history and archeology. Ray and Sharron loved to travel. The cruised the Mediterranean and cherished their visit to the Holy Land. Ray’s love of nature and animals included raising Nigerian dwarf goats. He also loved his geese, ducks, and dogs. He will be greatly missed by all that knew and loved him.
Visitation for Ray will take place on Tuesday evening, December 7, 2010 from 6 to 8 pm at Clayton Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted on Wednesday, December 8, 2010 at 1 pm with Pastor Keith Anderson of New Harvest Christian Fellowship officiating. Interment will take place on Saturday, December 11, 2010 at Toronto Cemetery in Toronto, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ray’s honor to the American Kidney Foundation at www.kidneyfund.org/give-now/ .
Ray Edward Willhite, 70, passed away December 5, 2010. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Helen Willhite. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Sharron Willhite; daughter, Sheila Lutz and husband, Randy; brothers, Roger Willhite and wife Lois of Concord, California, and Richard “Dick” Willhite of Huntington Beach, California; sisters, Sandi Deifallah and husband, Abdul of The Woodlands, Texas, Carol Stock and husband, Gary of Toronto, Kansas, Linda Clark and husband, Jerry of Toronto, Kansas; long time family friend, David Scarbrough of Centennial, Colorado; and a host of many other family and friends.
