Cumbersome Hill is a good example of how the term "dumpster diving" got coined for peaks with few interesting qualities. Near the summit is a garbage pile that you must pass through to summit. Hopefully it is gone....but unlikely. It's garbage dumping like this that causes so many gates to be placed on logging roads. The top has no views but a few are to be found on this hike, at least until the trees grow back. Cumbersome Hill is directly east of the small town of Cumberland in east King County and an easily accessible hike all year.

Follow the logging road as it climbs up and around the first knoll. Follow the map avoiding any spur roads. When you get to the highest point of the road on the summit ridge, you'll need to bushwhack NE a bit to reach the highest point.
