Thomas Mountain doesn't get much notice. It is one of several named mountains on the ridge between Lake Kachess and Lake Cle Elum. What it offers is some nice hiking or snowshoeing and some great views.

Elevation Gain: 2,900 feet
Summit Elevation: 5,269 feet
Access: Level 1 or 2
Take exit 70 the Easton/ Sparks Road exit. Cross over the highway to the north side. Follow the road adjacent to I-90 on the north side going NW toward Kachess Lake. After one mile, turn right on the Kachess Dam road. In winter/spring, this is as far as it is plowed. Start your snowshoe trip...following the remaining directions. In summer, take the Kachess Dam road for 0.8 miles to an forest road on the right (power lines). Drive this road one mile to the end and trailhead.

Hike up the Easton Ridge Trail #1212 on switchbacks for 1,000 feet in 0.8 miles. Hit intersection with Domerie Divide Trail #1308.2, follow it left. Climb 1350' elevation gain in 1.4 miles to the main ridge. Then make a left following it a mile or so to the summit.
