Lodge-To-River Trail & Riverfront Park
Suncadia Resort
Although the resort labels it "most difficult", the Lodge-To-River Trail loop is a quick, rewarding and easy loop right from the main Lodge. You have your choice of getting down to the river, the loop on one end is a nice switchbacking trail while the other end is a huge set of stairs, with nearly 500 steps. At the bottom, along the river, you will find Riverfront Park. A sign says you can do the following: hiking, bicycling, fishing, cross county skiing, snowshoeing, dog walking (on leash), picknicking, kite flying, frisbee. It also prohibits: hunting, shooting or use of firearms, littering, loud music or noise, smoking, campfires and use or disposal of ignited materials, disposal of waste or debris into waterways, overnight camping, snowmobiling, ATV's & motorized vehicles, excessive consumption of alcohol. Trails continue from this park into nearby forested Suncadia neighborhoods, see map.
