Millersylvania State Park
Visiting this state park features Deep Lake with two swimming beaches, non-motorized watercraft rentals, fishing and several miles of forested hiking. Unique to this park is the artisanship shelters built by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in the 1930s. With a park this old, the trees are big and provide full shade on hot days. For picnics or groups there are 125 unsheltered and 30 sheltered picnic tables. Organized groups can rent one of four kitchen shelters, which have electricity, wood stoves, grill and sinks. There are 7.6 miles of bike trails and 8.1 miles of hiking trails. The park also has 3 horseshoe pits and an amphitheater.
