Sixty Acre Park - Redmond
You guessed it; this park has 60 acres, well actually 94 acres. But 60 acres of park are devoted to 25 sports fields. This park is in the Sammamish River Valley north of Redmond, south of Woodinville. There are few other amenities for people seeking more traditional park activities. The Sammamish River Trail does pass through so walking and biking are possible. Model airplane enthusiasts, rocketry and flag Frisbee players use the park when games are not in progress. When soccer is set up, 60 Acre Park is the largest soccer complex west of the Mississippi. The park is able to accommodate exhibition games, tournaments, league games, and special events. The fields are owned by King County Parks but all maintenance is done by Lake Washington Youth Soccer Association.
