5th Street Park - Raymond
Raymond Parks & Recreation
The flagship city park in Raymond is 5th Street Park in the downtown area just a block off Highway 101. All the city services seem to surround the park. With the library on one side, the post office on another, the swimming pool on another and a church on the fourth side. The kids playground is very unique, with slides that look like logs and two palm trees that are way out of place for the Washington Coast. Inside the park are several sculptures, including the popular wood carving, The Logger. An inscription says: Dedicated to the men and women of the timber industry. Cedar Log donated by Weyerhaeuser Co. Carved by John Dempsey. Nearby is a visitors information center, restrooms and parking. The official name of the pool is Dr. O.R. Nevitt Memorial Swimming Pool if you need to google open swim times.
