Fieldhouse Park - Des Moines

Formerly known as Des Moines Park, Field House Park is named after the historic Field House building built by the King County Works Progress Administration in 1940. The building was one of five constructed in a post depression work project. The Des Moines Field House was used as the public library for many years. The park has a baseball field, basketball court, kids play area, tennis courts, a skate park, restrooms, picnic areas, and a rental facility. Field House Park is located right downtown near the Des Moines City Hall and the Police Department Building. There are even some views west down to Puget Sound and over to Vashon Island, making it a great park for sunsets.
