Gunlock State Park
Gunlock Reservoir and State Park is located about 15 miles northwest of St. George. The state park is mostly a day use area for fishing, boating and picnicking. Currently, there are 5 campsites along the lakeshore. There is no electric hookups or water so they mostly service those with tents. When the Gunlock reservoir is full, there are some nice waterfalls to view at the outflow of the reservoir. A few short hiking trails go to the waterfalls. The park is managed by the Utah DNR with a day use fee and camping is currently $13 a night. There are vault toilets, fire rings, picnic tables and a boat launch.
