I have been to several museums with printing presses, but this tour is very well done and detailed in a way to enjoy what you are learning, probably because it is on-hands learning. The tour explains how Johannes Gutenberg and his printing press revolutionized the world forever allowing religion, thought, philosophies, intelligence, and ideas became available to the masses. The tour discusses key events like the Reformation, The Age Of Enlightenment, the American Revolution, and the printing of the Book of Mormon. The Crandall Historical Printing Museum takes visitors from the very start of the printing revolution in 1450, through 1830 to when the Book of Mormon was printed. Covering over half a millennium of history, the Crandall Historical Printing Museum claims to be the most complete printing museum in the world.
Admission:
The only way to see the museum is to schedule a tour. The cost is roughly $10 per adult & $5 for kids 8 and under. Groups of 11 or more are only $5 each.
