The longest gondola ride in North America is at Silver Mountain, in North Idaho in the town of Kellogg. During the summer, the 3.1-mile-long lift gets you access to hiking trails and a large system of mountain biking trails. At the top of the ride, you are at the Mountain House, where there are great views, a lodge and restaurant. To reach the very summit, a nice road hike will take you there where they built a fire lookout.
