Idaho Travel
The longest gondola ride in North America is at Silver Mountain, in North Idaho in the town of Kellogg. During the summer, the 3.1-mile-long lift gets you access to hiking trails and a large system of mountain biking trails. At the top of the ride, you are at the Mountain House, where there are great views, a lodge and restaurant. To reach the very summit, a nice road hike will take you there where they built a fire lookout.

Silver Mountain Gondola Ride

Ride and Dine:
Every Friday during the summer months you can take the scenic gondola ride to live music, and a mountaintop BBQ. Dinner is served from 3-8pm, and local musicians will be performing. Tickets are limited and advance reservations are required.
Hiking:
The Kellogg Peak Fire Lookout Trail offers spectacular 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains from a reproduction of the original 1935 Forest Service fire lookout at the peak.
