Topliff Hill is an isolated peak north of the East Tintic Mountains and west of Utah Lake. The mountain doesnt have much to offer anyone but peakbaggers who will find it on the Utah list of peaks with over 1,000 feet of prominence. I was very surprised when I reached the top to find a register and that I was the first person to go up in over three years.
The northeast ridge is a gentle brush free route that posed no problems the entire way. I was a bit shocked to find a road accessing the high saddle on the south side of the peak. If it is drivable, the hike would only gain maybe 350 feet!

Route:
Take Highway 73 out of Lehi to Fivemile Pass at the south end of the Oquirrh Mountains. Several roads go south from the pass, look for the dirt road just before the paved Pony Express Road. The dirt road does a broad curve near some information boards but is then a straight line. Follow this road south until the Tenmile Pass Road goes left. Youll probably have to guess but it is the main road going between the south end of the Thorpe Hills and Toplift Hill. A mile or so east of the pass is a cattle gate that may need to be open/closed. Shortly beyond the gate, look for a faint road in the grass heading toward the northeast ridges of Topliff. Follow the abandoned road up to the base or hike the extra distance.
