Mathison Park
Mathison Park is a neighborhood park that has several great features. The upper section is a forested play area with two playgrounds and swings. Tables and barbeque grills nearby offer a nice afternoon here with the family. The lower section of the park drops down a hillside in the forest. There is both paved and dirt trails dropping down to 148th street. In route down the twisting paved trail are nice picnic areas on short side paths. There is also a view of the airport and Mount Rainier about halfway down. Much of the park was donated by Ted Mathison who the park is named for.
