Guerin Park

If your are looking for a developed park on Black Lake, your better off across the lake at Kenneydell Park. But, if you want to find some solitude, Guerin Park offers a few trails and a better chance at seeing some wildlife. There are several locations you can enter the wooded park, but if parking, the simplest spot is the main gate off Nels Street S.W. where there is room for a few cars. Small signs encourage access here. Neighborhood access trails sneak into the park from the other locations too. A trail accesses the lakefront area but there is no shoreline and it is marshy. The entrance off Guerin St. SW has a "County Property No Trespassing" sign which doesn't encourage people to enter the park from that direction. I believe it is only a short section of County Property before it enters the park.
