Mudbog Hill is a high knob in eastern King County between Black Diamond and Cumberland. Much of the south side has been owned by timber companies but who now have plans to develop the area into home sites. Access is tough, there are several ways peakbaggers have used, all which now have no trespassing signs. Some signs offer a phone number of someone to call if you want to get permission. Until the trees grow up, as of 2012 the views were really good from the summit. Roads and ATV trails will take you all the way up.

Route:

Follow the road ten minutes or so to a major Y intersection. Go right, uphill. Follow to another Y, go left and shortly arrive at the powerlines. Take the powerline road uphill to the top, then get over to the north side of this highpoint where there is a motorcycle mud-pit. At the far east end, just down from this highest point under the powerlines, an old road takes off north. It travels over one bump, following the ridge north until reaching the final summit knob at a logging road. Either take the road left and then up to the top or go through the minor brush up the ridge to the top.
From Black Diamond, turn east on Lawson Street which becomes SE Green River Gorge Road. Follow it several miles to a left on 290th Street. Follow 290th to the end where there is a yellow gate. Park if you dare or backtrack a good distance and park where you are comfortable. Signs at the gate even threaten car towing!
