Smith Rocks State Park
Smith Rock State Park preserves the majestic rock spires of the Crooked River Canyon while providing scenic viewing and a variety of recreational opportunities. Smith Rock State Park has hundreds of rock climbing routes that make it an international destination for rock climbers. For hikers, several miles of developed trails access the top of Misery Ridge and parallel the popular rock climbing areas of the Christian Brothers, the Dihedrals, and Morning Glory Wall. The park has camping, including a special bivouac camp are for climbers. They can park and do a short hike to the camping area. Day use amenities other than trails are picnic tables, restrooms and view areas.
