Walker Mountain Lookout
The lookout tower on Walker Mountain encourages visitors to take a side trip off the highway to see it. A sign from the highway points the way. From there, use the map below to find your way to the summit. Most of the way is good gravel with dirt the last few miles. The metal tower with cab on top was built in 1932. Also on the summit are other historical structures like a 1917 native stone cabin. Newer structures include many radio towers and buildings. Views are all right but nothing to brag about.
