Mount Maungauni Summit Track

Mount Maunganui is a totally isolated from any surrounding topography. It's location at the end of the beach, surrounded mostly by water is fantastic. The reserve is owned by Maori and managed by Tauranga City Council. The base track around the mountain is 3.4 km and takes about 45 minutes to walk. There are also several tracks up to the summit, both sides offer different views so go up one and down another. The summit is 232m high and takes most visitors under an hour to get to the top.
