Pyramid Peak sits just off the southwest corner of Mount Rainier. If you climb Pyramid, you will seriously consider the climbing route up Success Cleaver, a long but non-glaciated route. Using drainage called Hornpipe, you can get up Pyramid Peak in a fairly quick day from Longmire. With a lower elevation access point, Pyramid can be done most months of the year, but prime avalanche slopes near the top should be considered.
