LDS Church History Museum

LDS Historic Sites
Salt Lake City Sights
For visitors to Temple Square, the LDS Church built a museum that displays an overview of Church History from Joseph Smith to the present day. The museum is open to the public, free of charge. Tour guide missionaries are always available but the museum is self guided. Although there are a few interesting artifacts along the way, most members already know a good portion of what is displayed and written. Non-members will get more from the tour. The museum got a total make-over in 2014 so it should be more interactive now. Also, the exhibit areas are often changing with new ones.
