Wedgemount Lake

This is an absolute gem of a lake, surrounded on all sides by glaciers. The trailhead for Wedgemount Lake is just north of Whistler Village about a mile off the main highway. The trail itself is not for softies, don't expect any man made improvements like bridges, puncheon or even switchbacks. The trail goes strait up and gains 3800ft in just 4 miles. This scares off the casual hikers you are likely to be rewarded with some measure of solitude, or at least a truer wilderness experience than can be had on the other Garibaldi Park trails. 8.7 miles roundtrip, 3,800 feet gain.
