Ape Lake

You can't easily hike to Ape Lake but if you somehow can make it there, it will be a life changing experience. A trail goes part way beginning on the Nusatsum Forest Service Road, near Bella Coola, two miles past Odegaard Falls. It goes a mile beyond Hammer Lake and ends at a lookout on Iroquos Ridge with views of the War Drum Glacier. Mt. Jacobsen is southeast, another five miles beyond the lookout, serious route finding is required.
