So Whistler Mountain is most known for the skiing. In winter, there is 8000+ acres of skiable terrain on 2 mountains, 12 alpine bowls, 3 glaciers, 38 lifts and over 200 marked runs. Whistler Blackcomb Mountain receives an average snowfall of 30 feet per year, or 360 inches. In summer, the resort is still running, encouraging tourists to come up the mountain for dinner or an afternoon hike. There are also many tours available on the mountain. We decided an ATV tour up the mountain looked fun. This tour takes a large group up a old road to the Roundhouse Lodge first, for a snack, then up to the summit. You'll want to make sure your weather is good for this trip. If it is, you get all the great views from the summit with the added fun of 4 wheeling to get there. While on top, a Hummer Tour group arrived as well.
