Valhalla Traverse:
Mulvey Lakes to Valhalla Lake

Canada Hike/Climb
Day Two:
First up was to climb Asgard Peak. It was directly above camp. We took our full packs halfway, dropped them and continued to the summit. The last few hundred feet had some steep snow and rock. Luckily, at the top of the snow was a ledge system that made the route go easily. Back at the packs, we traversed to a gap between Asgard and Milgard. From the gap, the rest of the team went up Milgard while I sat this one out. The route down the backside from the gap turned out to be quite difficult. Easy at first, we were cliffed out, but a short downclimb in a rock section provided a way. We also lowered our packs for this section because the downclimbing would prove dangerous with heavy packs. Some more downclimbing in snow, then a lucky grassy ramp brought us to the bottom where we enjoyed the Prestly Lakes (name given by us). Finally we had to climb up and over the Prestly-Valhalla saddle to get into the Lake Valhalla basin. No issues with this last saddle, most enjoyable and the unnamed lakes just above Lake Valhalla were outstanding as we blew by. We camped at the outlet of Valhalla, few good sites were available due to snow and standing water.
